Stella Barnes

Stella Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Stella started their career as a Sustainability Intern at The Crest Gastro Pub in 2014 and then transitioned to serving as a Server at Acre Farm-To-Table. In 2017, they worked as a Horticulture and Sustainability Intern at Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens at OSU, where they led a project to design and install a rain garden and conducted educational tours. Stella then worked as a Team Lead at Defend Our Future Ohio in 2017. In 2018, they started working at Hexion Inc. as a Student Data Analyst, generating market analyses and conveying recommendations for sustainable development initiatives. At The Ohio State University, Stella worked as a Student Researcher, conducting benchmark and survey research on interdisciplinary sustainability curricular programs at peer institutions. Stella also designed and implemented a sustainability plan as Lead Sustainability Coordinator for the What? Music and Arts Festival. In 2018, Stella joined CoverMyMeds as an Account Specialist and later transitioned to the role of Associate Data Analyst. In this role, they supported client relationships by providing performance metrics, led a restructuring to centralize and automate client reports, and translated complex data into actionable results. Stella's most recent role is as a Data & Reporting Analyst at Accion Opportunity Fund where they use their skills to contribute to the organization's data and reporting efforts.

Stella Barnes obtained their Associate of Arts - AA degree from The Ohio State University between 2014 and 2016. Stella then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Economy, Development, and Sustainability from The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences from 2014 to 2018.

In terms of additional certifications, Stella Barnes completed Tableau Essential Training from LinkedIn Learning in September 2021. Stella also obtained the SQL 101 certification from CoverMyMeds in March 2021. In December 2019, they acquired certifications in Giving and Receiving Feedback as well as Successful Goal Setting, both from LinkedIn.
