Vice President of Sales and Service Delivery at Accion Opportunity Fund

Whitney Martin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Whitney is currently serving as the Vice President of Sales and Service Delivery at Accion Opportunity Fund, where they started in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Director of Customer Experience and Operations Excellence at the same organization from September 2020 to November 2021.

Before joining Accion Opportunity Fund, Whitney was self-employed as an Independent Consultant from July 2019 to September 2020, where they supported service-disabled veteran-owned businesses and optimized operational performance of an outsourced call center.

From September 2016 to July 2019, they worked as a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), leading change management and transformation efforts for large public and private organizations across different industries. Whitney excelled in building effective relationships with clients and driving complex process management.

Whitney also gained experience at Opportunity Fund as the Director of Operations from February 2018 to August 2018, where they developed scalable processes to accelerate lending to women and minority-owned small businesses. Whitney managed the career development of 30 full-time employees across various departments.

In addition, Whitney has held positions as a Summer Intern at Women for Women International in 2016, a Volunteer Consultant (VolCon) at Technoserve in 2016, a Summer Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in 2015, and an MBA Student Consultant at Plan International in 2015.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Progreso Financiero as a Senior Operations Manager from July 2012 to July 2014 and as a Product Manager from December 2010 to June 2012. Whitney thrived in a start-up environment, establishing compliant processes and procedures for the launch of a reloadable debit card program and running projects to increase product usage.

Whitney's work experience also includes a managerial role at Hillstone Restaurant Group from September 2009 to December 2010.

Whitney Martin completed their high school education at Maret School from 2001 to 2005. Whitney then pursued their undergraduate degree at Stanford University from 2005 to 2009, majoring in Sociology and Economics. Later, they attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where they earned a Masters of Business Administration from 2014 to 2016.
