David Matthews

David Matthews currently serves as Chair of the Governance and Appointments Committee at ICAEW and holds multiple trustee positions at Treloar's and Inter Mediate. Additionally, David serves as an Independent Non-Executive at BDO UK LLP and as Vice President at Accountancy Europe. David has extensive experience in the accountancy field, having been a Partner at KPMG LLP in the UK from 1982 to 2020 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1985. David's previous roles include trustee at Cumberland Lodge and The Treloar Trust, and a board trustee at The Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts. David holds a BSc (Econ) in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and foundational education from The King's School, Canterbury.
