Sarah Barnett

Sarah Barnett is an experienced professional in the animal welfare and communications fields, currently serving as Executive Director at ACCT Philly since August 2019, with previous roles including Interim Co-Executive Director and Director of Development and Communications. In addition to leading ACCT Philly, Sarah operates Social Media for Animals, a platform designed to enhance the effectiveness of social media managers in animal shelters. Previously, significant contributions were made at The Humane Society of the United States, where Sarah held various positions from Public Affairs Adviser to Senior Manager of Social Media, driving initiatives to bolster the organization's reputation and digital engagement. Early career experiences include roles at Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and Farm Sanctuary, as well as internships at ifaw. Sarah holds an Associate's degree in Communications from Montgomery College.
