Shaun Dougherty

Shaun Dougherty has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Shaun began their career as a Lead iOS Developer at Someonew from July 2016 to March 2018. During this time, they gained expertise in iOS development.

Shaun then joined Oracle as a DevOps Engineer in January 2018 and worked until August 2018. In this role, they specialized in Docker and Kubernetes for deploying containerized applications and utilized Kibana for monitoring and alerts. Shaun also led the development of application and pod re-pavement and remote debugging of applications using Docker images.

In 2019, Shaun worked as an iOS Intern at CybX Security. During this internship, they gained knowledge in encryption, cryptography, and working with BLE devices. Shaun also led iOS development for the secure messaging service, Quantum Nerve.

From July 2017 to May 2020, Shaun worked as the Director of Technology at Mehta Prep Academy. In this role, they created Python backend and REST API for iOS and Android apps. Shaun also managed various IT tasks such as maintaining the company's Squarespace website, company email, and Slack.

Currently, Shaun is employed as a Software Engineer at accūrō Solutions since September 2020. In this role, they have created and exposed APIs for a medical bill review application. Shaun also deployed the application on a Kubernetes cluster hosted in Amazon's EKS environment and maintained a deployment pipeline using Azure DevOps tools.

Shaun Dougherty earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science and Technology from Penn State University, which they attended from 2016 to 2020. In addition, they obtained two certifications: LFD259 in Kubernetes for Developers from The Linux Foundation in December 2021, and CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) from The Linux Foundation in December 2021.
