Alfonso Bullón de Mendoza

Alfonso Bullón de Mendoza y Gómez de Valugera was elected president of the Catholic Association of Propagandists (ACdP) during the III Extraordinary General Assembly held on July 21, 2018.

Alfonso Bullón de Mendoza is a doctor in History from the Complutense University of Madrid and professor of Contemporary History at the CEU San Pablo University. Author of numerous publications focused on the history of Carlism, the Second Republic and the Spanish Civil War, he has held the positions of rector of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University of Valencia and the CEU San Pablo University of Madrid. Since 2009 he has been director of the CEU Institute for Historical Studies. He has been coordinator of the Area of ​​Sciences, Literature and Thought of Madrid European Capital of Culture 1992, and of the Area of ​​History of the Summer Courses of the Complutense University of Madrid in El Escorial (1992-1996). He is a corresponding academic of the Royal Academy of History, the Portuguese Academy of History and the Royal Seville Academy of Good Letters.

The position of president of the ACdP entails that of Grand Chancellor of the CEU San Pablo, CEU Cardenal Herrera and Abat Oliba CEU Universities, as well as the presidency of the Board of Trustees of the Association's works: Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU, Fundación San Pablo Andalucía , Abat Oliba Foundation, Ángel Herrera Oria Cultural Foundation, San Pablo University Hall of Residence, etc. The CEU, a non-profit charitable-teaching institution with more than 80 years of experience, has more than 25 educational centers in which all levels of education are taught.
