Dr. Sipp has been involved with Head Start since he was a child in the JCCEO Head Start program in Birmingham, Alabama, and later as a parent when his own child was in Head Start. He has served in many professional roles within the Head Start community, starting as a teaching assistant and later as a trainer, administrator, and content area expert focused on disabilities and mental health. While working in various Head Start programs, he earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in special education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and holds a certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In his previous role as Executive Director at Acelero Learning - Clark County, he lead Nevada's largest provider of Head Start services. Currently, he serves as the Sr. Vice President of Head Start, providing leadership for all Acelero Learning delegates. Dr. Sipp is a board member for the Region IX Head Start Association. He devotes his time to ministry, his family, teaching at UNLV, and working side-by-side with parents in their work to close the achievement gap.
