Patrick Roy has a diverse work experience in the software industry. Patrick has held various roles in different companies, starting from 2002 until the present.
Starting from 2002, Patrick worked at IBM as a Senior Software Developer in different teams. Patrick played a key role in developing LoadIt, a performance testing product, and managed the deployment of company-wide software solutions for escalations and customer defect tracking.
In 2013, they joined Lixar IT as a Team Lead, where they managed a team of Java developers, performed code reviews, and conducted interviews for senior positions. Patrick also took care of agile improvements and bug management.
From 2014 to 2015, Patrick worked at CENX as a Performance Lead and Development Manager. There, they defined performance testing strategies for the CENX CORTX platform, which provided network visualization and performance analytics for tier 1 network service providers.
After that, they moved to Paysafe Group as a Technical Lead, where they were responsible for defining microservice system architecture, standardizing component behavior, and building shared libraries to support microservice creation and deployment processes.
In 2018, Patrick joined C2RO Cloud Robotics as a Software Technical Lead. In this role, they led a team in delivering face recognition solutions using on-premise edge devices and a cloud infrastructure.
Starting from 2019, they worked at Quebecor as a Lead Software Architect, managing a team of architects and technical leads. Patrick also played a role in delivering technological solutions for the QUB product family roadmap.
In 2022, Patrick joined Morgan Stanley as a Senior Software Architect. Patrick was involved in building the new Morgan Stanley Risk Management Platform using microservices and overseeing team design and code reviews.
In 2022, they co-founded EMVEE data as the Chief Technical Officer, where they focused on building a multi-tenant data analytics solution for the automobile industry.
Currently, they work at Acerta as a Senior Cloud Architect, building the LinePulse data analytics solution for the automotive industry using a multi-tenant SaaS platform and microservice architecture.
Throughout their career, Patrick has demonstrated expertise in software architecture, cloud technologies, data analytics, and team management.
Patrick Roy attended the Université du Québec en Outaouais from 1991 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Patrick later returned to the same university in 1996 and 1997 to study Project Management, although it does not specify whether they completed a degree in this field.
