Kevin O’Neill

Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Acertitude

Naturally at the center, Kevin is driven to make change happen through people. His knack for making the most of his encounters stems from an endless curiosity and zest for life; traits he’s been known for since childhood. It is a rare day that Kevin isn’t instinctively gathering more people into his circle and mapping out new ways that they might benefit from knowing each other. His intuition for relationships makes him their ultimate change agent – and to borrow a line from his favorite Tennyson poem, a part of everything he has met.

For Kevin, the genesis to launch Acertitude was fueled by an innate desire to improve the status quo, and his intention to leave the world a better place than how he found it.

Kevin’s achievements leading a team of executive search consultants have evolved from a fairly simple set of ideas: “My success is not guarded by my fear of failure” he says, “but rather from my close awareness of my weaknesses.” He takes this same approach to understanding his clients’ business goals and talent needs, keenly analyzing the whole picture before isolating the tipping point that will lead to success.

As co-founder + managing partner, Kevin strives to address the weak points he sees in their industry’s business models to stretch the boundaries of what’s possible for their clients’ organizations in their discovery and retention of great talent.

Kevin brings over 25 years’ consulting experience to their global search practice, and a proven track record serving C-level executives in consumer, life sciences, industrial, and private equity practices. This initiative builds on his role with O’Neill Consulting, which Kevin founded in 1996, and will continue to lead and manage. Kevin spent his early career with a large search firm in Philadelphia, following client management roles with investment banks Merrill Lynch and Kidder, Peabody & Co.

Outside of work, Kevin devotes his time to his wife and four children, and his community. Living up to his adage that there are not failures in life, only victories and experiences, Kevin once ran for his local state senate seat. When his whirlwind schedule permits, you’ll find Kevin in activities ranging from enjoying a cigar while boating along the New England coastline to aggressively training for road races and triathlons.
