Genia Shapira

Genia Shapira has a diverse work experience in the fields of UX/UI design, visual design, and photography. Genia is currently working as a Senior UX/UI Designer at Achievers. Prior to that, they held the position of UX/UI Designer II - Intermediate at the same company.

Genia also has extensive freelance experience, where they developed and designed responsive and accessible websites, applications, and marketing materials for various companies.

Genia has worked as a UX/UI Designer at #movethedial, where they designed a mobile HR SaaS application for corporations. At blackjet inc, they worked as a UI Designer, designing desktop and mobile websites for organizations.

Genia has also held positions in the photography field. Genia worked as a Photography Manager at Rogers Media Content Studio, managing the photography account for the Canadian Tire WOW Guide. Before that, they were a Production Manager at Groupe TVA, where they produced and maintained the digital media for Canadian Living Magazine. Genia also worked as a Studio Manager at TC Media, where they produced, photographed, and retouched for Canadian Living Magazine.

Genia Shapira completed their undergraduate education between 2008 and 2012. Genia attended the University of Guelph, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Communications. During the same period, they also studied at Humber College and obtained another Bachelor of Arts degree in Image Arts & Photography. In addition to their academic achievements, Genia Shapira has obtained several certifications, including Pendo Essentials from Pendo.io in December 2020, Figma for UX Design from LinkedIn in May 2020, and Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from LinkedIn in May 2020.
