G. Edward Hughes

G. Edward Hughes currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of The Eight Principles of Sustainable Fundraising®, an organization dedicated to innovative fundraising approaches that prioritize donor desires. As the President and Founder of The Hughes Group, Hughes focuses on strategic partnership development and resource generation. Additionally, as a Partner at Star Educational Programming, LLC and Eight Principles India, Hughes contributes expertise in resource development and strategic planning. Hughes also acts as a Leadership Coach for Achieving the Dream, Inc., working with community colleges to enhance sustainability and improve student outcomes. Previously, Hughes held leadership roles at various institutions, including founding President/CEO of Gateway Community and Technical College and President/CEO of Hazard Community and Technical College. Hughes holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Southern Illinois University and advanced degrees in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and Catawba College.
