Timothy Zhang has held a variety of positions in the software engineering and development field since 2016. In 2016, they were a Java Developer Intern at Shenzhen Kingdom Technology Co., Ltd. During this role, they followed a mentor's instruction, acknowledged the structure and development cycle of enterprise-level data services, and had some entry-level hands-on-experience on Gradle dependency manager, SVN repository, Apache Tomcat server, and Oracle database. Timothy also participated in the debugging process of some modules in the health-data service platform. In 2017, they were a Web Developer Internship at Daydao Cloud Platform. During this role, they participated in the development of an aspect-orientated web project, mainly back-end, and assisted the companies' International R&D division to implement integrations between the product and the third-party web services such as Quickbook and Twitter. In 2019, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Rochester. In 2020, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Rochester, where they worked on a state-of-the-art set semantic similarity search algorithm on non-curated sparse sets in Data lake for table joinability assessment, and mentored undergraduate researchers. Currently, they are a Full Stack Engineer & Co-founder at Acho, where they are developing interactive high-performance data pipe-lining tool based on OLAP.
Timothy Zhang attended the University of Rochester from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Timothy then continued their education at the University of Rochester and obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science in 2021.
