Prateek Bandi

Prateek Bandi has a diverse work experience that spans across various companies and roles. Prateek is currently working at Acies as a Senior Data Scientist, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at the same company from July 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining Acies, Prateek worked at Caterpillar Inc. as an Associate Engineer in the LPSD Analytics department from October 2021 to July 2022. Prateek also had an internship in the same department from August 2021 to October 2021.

Prateek has also worked at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they held the roles of Project Associate and Research Scholar. During their time there from July 2019 to July 2021, they led a project focused on energy-efficient measures for improving thermal comfort in automobile cabins. Prateek collaborated with stakeholders, developed a 3-D CFD model, and used machine learning algorithms to predict Mean Radiant Temperature. Additionally, they performed 3D CFD analysis and proposed a new method to assess real-time thermal comfort in automotive cabins.

Prior to their work at the Indian Institute of Technology, Prateek gained experience as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. from September 2017 to September 2018. Prateek contributed to customer satisfaction by clustering calling responses and implementing countermeasures, and they created a dashboard to categorize under warranty returned products.

Prateek also worked as a Quant Trainer for GRE and GMAT at Skill Maestro - India for a brief period in 2017. Prateek had research internships at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad in 2016 and at Steel Authority of India Limited in 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Physics Teacher at RANKERS POINT EDUCATION PRIVATE LIMITED from March 2014 to May 2015.

Through their various roles and experiences, Prateek Bandi has developed expertise in data science, analytics, CFD analysis, machine learning, and teaching.

Prateek Bandi completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Prateek then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Thermal Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Prateek has obtained several certifications. Prateek completed the Python Programming certification from HackerRank in November 2020. Prateek also acquired certifications in Databases and SQL for Data Science, Machine Learning with Python, and Python for Data Science and AI from Coursera in September 2020 and June 2020, respectively.
