Xavier E. López

Xavier E. López is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in software and web development, currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Aclid since August 2023, where the focus is on building infrastructure for biosecurity through real-time DNA sequence analysis tools. Previously, Xavier was a Founding Engineer at Heroic Public Benefit Corporation, contributing to the launch of a self-help app, and spent three years at Codecademy as an Engineering Tech Lead, where leadership in product teams significantly increased the company's paid user base. Previous roles include Lead Frontend Engineer at Pronoun, and Lead Web Engineer/Web Systems Architect at Venmo, where Xavier introduced innovative web development techniques. Xavier's career began as a Frontend Developer at Verizon Wireless, with additional consultancy experience at Rock Solid Technologies, and academic research on eLearning frameworks at the University of Puerto Rico. Xavier holds a degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Software Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez.
