Erik Martínez Resly

Director Of Communications at ACLU of Texas

Erik Martínez Resly has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Erik is currently serving as the Director of Communications at ACLU of Texas, where they previously held positions as Acting Communications Director and Senior Communications Manager. Prior to that, they worked as a Fellow in the Culture Caucus at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Erik also served as the Digital Advocacy Officer at Muslim Advocates, where they led digital and cultural strategies to defend the civil rights of Muslims and immigrants. Before that, they co-founded and served as Co-Director of The Sanctuaries, a nonprofit organization focused on training multicultural artists for grassroots campaigns. Erik also worked as a Lecturer at Wesley Theological Seminary and as a Chaplain at the National Institutes of Health. Erik started their career as a Designer at the Center for Digital Scholarship at Brown University.

Erik Martínez Resly holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in Cultural & Religious Pluralism from Harvard University. Erik also has a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from Brown University. Additionally, they have obtained certification in Human-Centered Design for Social Innovation from +Acumen.
