Julia Gomez

Julia Gomez is an experienced attorney currently serving as a Senior Staff Attorney at ACLU SoCal since May 2020, following a tenure as a Staff Attorney at the same organization. Prior legal experience includes roles as a Staff Attorney at MALDEF from January 2016 to May 2020 and as an Associate during the MALDEF/Fried Frank Civil Rights Fellowship from October 2013 to December 2015. Julia began their legal career with internships at the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York State Supreme Court. Additionally, Julia contributed as a volunteer with the Immigration Unit at Sanctuary for Families and worked as a Summer Associate at Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from UCLA.
