Dawn Emsen-Hough (MAICD) has a diverse work experience that spans several different roles and companies. Dawn worked as the Director of ACON's Pride Inclusion Programs starting in October 2009 and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Dawn has a background in education and cognitive science, with four years of pre-doctoral work in cognitive psychology. Dawn has also worked as a part-time lecturer in postgraduate adult education at UTS. Dawn has published five publications on LGBTI workplace inclusion and annual benchmarking reports.
Prior to their role at ACON, Dawn worked at ING Australia from 2007 to 2009. Dawn held various positions during their time there, including Diversity, Flexibility, and Learning Manager and Talent, Learning & Development, and Diversity Manager. In these roles, they managed portfolios such as employee engagement, health and wellbeing, and high performance. Dawn introduced senior leadership awards and facilitated high performance training across top tiers of the organization. Dawn also managed the employee engagement survey and led cultural initiatives.
Before joining ING Australia, Dawn served as the Company Director and Owner of Corporate Learning Performance Aust from 1993 to 2007.
Dawn Emsen-Hough (MAICD) holds a Master's degree in Cognitive Science from UNSW, which they earned from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Adult Education with a major in HR at the University of Technology Sydney from 1987 to 1999. Additionally, they are an Accredited Prince2 Practitioner, certified by APMG-International in 2015.
