Tim Nicklas

Tim Nicklas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tim started their career in 2000 as a Senior Circuit Engineer at Transaction Network Services, where they played a key role in the implementation of the Red Network. Tim then worked at Cable & Wireless as an Account Executive, selling voice, data, and internet services to corporate accounts. At New Edge Networks, Tim was responsible for channel sales and the acquisition of new wholesale and referral partners.

From 2005 to 2009, Tim served as a Senior Account Executive at Parallels, where they expanded the company's products and services in the hosting industry and managed service provider sector. During this time, they also joined Citrix Systems as the Head of Cloud Sales for Latin America & Caribbean, driving the growth of the company's cloud business.

From 2015 to 2016, Tim joined Okta, Inc. as a Platform Sales Manager, where they focused on providing enterprise-grade identity management services. Following that, they worked at Rancher Labs as the Regional Director for the Federal, Americas East/South, Latin America region. There, they played a crucial role in the development and deployment of open-source software for running containers in production.

In 2020, Tim co-founded Rancher Government Solutions, serving as the Cofounder, VP of Operations, and CRO until 2022. Currently, they are the Co-Founder and VP of Acorn Labs, a position they have held since May 2022. Overall, Tim has gained extensive experience in cloud computing, virtualization, sales, and operations throughout their career.

Tim Nicklas attended Virginia Tech from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Administration and Business Management.
