Karen Vanbrocklin

Karen VanBrocklin is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in social services and addiction counseling. Currently serving as a Mobile Social Service Coordinator at The Salvation Army since April 2021, Karen also holds the position of SEP Resource Specialist at ACR Health since July 2017, focusing on resource and education provision. Previously, Karen worked as a Case Manager 2 at Transitional Living Services of Northern New York, enhancing the independent living skills of high-risk individuals, and as an Addiction Counselor ACA at the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. Karen's educational background includes a Master of Human Services in Social and Community Services from Capella University, several certificates in Addiction Prevention and Treatment from Stanford and Yale University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from SUNY Canton, among other credentials. Karen is recognized as a Human Services Board-Certified Practitioner through The National Organization for Human Services.
