Ivan Chan

Ivan Chan is a skilled software engineer with a solid background in developing microservices and backend systems. Currently employed at Acre since March 2020, Ivan specializes in writing microservices using Go, gRPC, and Solr. Previously, as a software developer at Whatbook, Ivan played a crucial role as the first backend engineer, where responsibilities included developing a Django Rest API, creating a recommendation engine, and transitioning from a monolithic to microservices architecture. Experience at Bar Analytics involved designing data pipelines and developing a user CRM in Django. Ivan began a career in software development as an intern at Inkpact, where contributions included developing a marketing CRM and managing other interns. Educationally, Ivan holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Southampton.
