An Ouyang has been in the workforce since 2010, beginning as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Beijing Sport University. In 2011, they held the role of Laboratory Assistant at National Sport Nutrition Center, in addition to their Undergraduate Research Assistant role at Beijing Sport University. From 2013 to 2019, they were a Research Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Laboratory Assistant at the University of Kentucky. During this same period, they were also a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and a Postdoc Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2021, they took on the role of Postdoctoral Researcher at Hebrew SeniorLife. Most recently, in 2022, An Ouyang began working as a Product Manager at ACROBiosystems.
An Ouyang completed a B.S of Education in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Beijing Sport University from 2008 to 2012. An then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.S.) in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky from 2012 to 2014. An Ouyang concluded their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky between 2015 and 2019.
