John Joyce

John Joyce is a software engineer and co-founder of Acryl Data. John has experience with NodeJS, React, React Native, MongoDB, Apache Calcite, GraphQL, Spark, Hive, HDFS, Espresso, and Rest.li.

John Joyce started their career as a software engineering intern at Cameo in February 2018 where they helped build an platform connecting fans to their favorite icons. Their contributions included zero-downtime deployments, mobile search experience, server-side metrics, and server-side query caching. In August 2018, they joined LinkedIn as a senior software engineer. There they worked on a team building an internal PaaS offering for managing the entire lifecycle of entities and relationships comprising the LinkedIn economic graph. John led portability efforts to make a consistent view of the graph available for frictionless consumption across compute environments.

John Joyce's educational career consists of a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a certification in Cloud Architecture: Advanced Concepts from LinkedIn.

John Joyce works with Gabe Lyons - Founding Engineer, Aditya Radhakrishnan - Software Engineer, and Chris Collins - Software Engineer. Their manager is Swaroop Jagadish, Co-Founder & CTO.
