Richard Long has extensive work experience in technical support and management roles. Richard began their career in 1996 as a Team Lead and Graphic/DCI Site Manager at Decsion Consultants (IBM). From 2000 to 2008, they worked as a Sr. Manager of Customer Support at Vignette Corp, where they supported various enterprise content management and documentation management products. Richard then joined Luminex Corporation in 2008 as a Manager of Technical Support, where they improved ticket system use and accuracy of reporting capabilities. In 2010, Richard became the Manager, Head of Support at BigCommerce, where they led all support activities and strategies for their eCommerce SaaS product. In 2012, they moved to Pervasive Software as a Senior Manager of Technical Support before transitioning to Actian Corporation in 2013 as the Director of Technical Support.
Richard Long attended Texas State University from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Healthcare Administration.
