Derrick Chai

Derrick Chai has extensive experience in project management and software development. Derrick worked as a Project Manager Scrum Master at Activate Interactive from January 2019 to the present, where they oversaw multiple projects and led both Waterfall and Agile project teams. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Consultant at NCS Group from November 2014 to December 2018, where they planned and tracked activities for system development and migration projects. Derrick is well-versed in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies and has experience conducting meetings and presentations. Derrick also gained experience as an IT Graphic & Design Assistant during an internship at Rohde & Schwarz in 2009, where they assisted with the revamp of the intranet design and helped plan and design corporate banners and brochures.

Derrick Chai completed their Bachelor's degree in Computing Science from the Singapore Institute of Management, attending from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Multimedia and Infocomm Technology from Nanyang Polytechnic, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their academic qualifications, Derrick has also obtained several certifications, such as "Designing the User Experience for Mobile Applications" and "Experience Design for Programmers" from Republic Polytechnic in September 2018, "Maximum Impact Presentation," "Stakeholder Management, Influence & Engagement Program," and "Write With Impact" from NBOGroup in August 2017, and "Professional Scrum Master I" from Scrum.org in June 2016.
