Connor Beach has six years of experience in technical sales engineering, process design engineering, lead R&D engineering, lab assistant, community advisor, and product development intern roles. In 2021, they began working as a Technical Sales Engineer for Activated Research Company, where they lead technical presentations on chromatography innovations to international teams, expands business within existing accounts, and establishes relationships with distributors. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Process Design Engineer for Honeywell, where they coordinated projects with specialists, engineers, and drafters to meet deadlines, participated in global customer meetings, and optimized processes. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Lead R&D Engineer for Sironix Renewables, where they completed designs for new flow reactor systems, conducted techno-economic analyses, and purchased parts for testing of solid-acid catalysts. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at the University of Minnesota, first as a Lab Assistant, where they worked on product testing and proof of concept, planned and prioritized multiple projects, and contributed to two first author publications. Connor also worked as a Community Advisor, where they supervised and met with 40 first-year students, helped students navigate through various issues, and was an on-duty supervisor of the residence hall during nights and weekends. Finally, they worked as a Product Development Intern for Activated Research Company from 2015 to 2017, where they tested new two stage reactor systems, conducted application testing, and troubleshooted with inventors for implementation with GC.
Connor Beach graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2017.
