Pam Kopishke

Pam Kopishke has a diverse work experience in the education and library sectors. Pam started their teaching career at Active Learning Centers in 2022, initially as a part-time assistant teacher. Pam was later promoted to full-time school age head teacher and also served as a substitute for certified kindergarten. In addition, they provided assistance in various classrooms while the school age children were at school.

Prior to their role at Active Learning Centers, Pam worked as a librarian for the Allentown school district from 2003 to 2021. Their responsibilities included developing lesson plans and instructional materials, collaborating with teachers and a specialist team to support student goals and testing, managing book circulation and research, conducting monthly reports and purchases, performing yearly inventory, engaging in grant writing, organizing book fair fundraisers, conducting community outreach and parent services, and providing training on electronic library systems to staff and volunteers.

Before their tenure at the Allentown school district, Pam served as the Program and Outreach Director for The Boys and Girls Club of Allentown from 2000 to 2004. Pam also held positions as the Public Library Director and Adult Education Literacy Coordinator at the Bangor Public Library from 1988 to 1994.

Pam Kopishke received their Bachelor of Science degree in Education/librarianship from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where they studied from 1983 to 1988. In 2007, they enrolled at Lehigh Carbon Community College and pursued a field of study in ESOL Education. From 2004 to 2007, Pam attended Cedar Crest College, focusing on Elementary Education and Teaching.
