Iyad Alshabani

Iyad Alshabani has held various roles in the technology industry since 2010. Iyad began their career as a Researcher/Lecturer at Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne in 2010, and then went on to become an R&D Assistant at Procton Labs. In 2013, they co-founded BitSparkles and then held the role of Research Engineer, Project Manager, and Research Coordinator at I3S/CNRS in 2011. In 2015, they became R&D and Innovation Manager at ActiveEon, and then moved to MERITIS in 2017 as Chief Innovation Officer and Head of Meritis Lab. In 2018, they held roles as Innovation Consultant at IRATEN SOLUTIONS - ORIADE and Research and Innovation Advisor at BitSparkles. Finally, in 2019 they returned to ActiveEon as Innovation Consultant and R&D Manager.

Iyad Alshabani's education history includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, which they completed between 2001 and 2006. Iyad also holds a Master in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed between 1999 and 2000. Theirundergraduate degree is a Computer Engineer from the University of Aleppo, which they completed between 1991 and 1996.
