Hardware Engineering Lead at ActiveProtective

Tyler Ulanowicz has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Hardware Engineering Lead at ActiveProtective since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at ActiveProtective as a Product Development Engineer from January 2020 to April 2023, and from May 2019 to December 2019.

Before joining ActiveProtective, Tyler was the Head of Fuel Systems at Temple Formula Racing (FSAE) from August 2018 to April 2019. In this role, they were responsible for designing, manufacturing, and implementing fueling systems for Temple University's student-built formula SAE competition vehicle. Tyler worked within a larger team to engineer, develop, and build a competition race car each year while meeting strict deadlines and budget constraints.

Tyler also worked as a Subaru Technician at #1 Cochran from May 2018 to December 2018. Prior to that, they were an Automotive Technician at Mulley's Auto Repair and Body Shop from August 2015 to August 2017. Tyler gained event management experience as the Event Manager at Pittsburgh World of Wheels from January 2010 to January 2016. Additionally, Tyler worked as a Subaru Technician at Baierl Automotive from June 2013 to August 2015.

Tyler Ulanowicz started their education at Fox Chapel Area High School from 2009 to 2013. After that, from 2011 to 2013, they attended A. W. Beattie Career Center where they focused on studying Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician. Tyler then went on to study at the Community College of Allegheny County from 2014 to 2015. Finally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Temple University from 2016 to 2019.
