Rodolfo Benavides Guajardo has a varied work experience. In 2010, they were a Founding Member of AYUDEMIS (ITESM School of Medicine Student Group), where they identified and aided NGO's in need of Financial and Medical Support. In 2012, they were an Assistant Director for Toronto Youth Development - ASE Summer Camp, where they developed 6th grade curriculum and activities and trained and supervised foreign personnel. In 2013, they were an Undergraduate Researcher for both the Heximer Lab at the Department of Physiology at the University of Toronto and the Duncker Lab at the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Waterloo. In 2014, they worked as a Patient Care Assistant at Northfield at the Boardwalk Clinical Practice, where they triaged patients over the phone, scheduled appointments according to medical urgency, took medical histories and vital signs, and handled OHIP billing. In 2018, they were a Research Assistant at the Human Growth and Development Lab at ITESM School of Medicine, where they subjected a murine model of Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia to an anti-inflammatory agent and evaluated its effect on lung fibrosis through immunohistochemistry and tissue histology techniques. Finally, in 2020, they are a Medical Education Team Lead, Medical Education Manager, and Medical Content Specialist for ACTO, where they work to set the gold standard for education in healthcare and life sciences by building the industry's best Omnichannel Education ecosystem.
Rodolfo Benavides Guajardo completed their Bachelor of Science in Physiology, General from the University of Toronto between 2011 and 2014. Rodolfo then went on to obtain their Doctor of Medicine - MD from Tecnológico de Monterrey between 2014 and 2018.
