Valerie Lopez, FSA, MAAA, EA, MSPA

Valerie Lopez, FSA, MAAA, EA, MSPA has been in the actuarial field since 1991. Valerie began their career at Towers Perrin as an Actuary, where they were also the team leader for the regional training department. In 2002, they moved to Watson Wyatt as an Actuary. In 2008, they switched to Rudd & Wisdom as an Actuary and then to Nova 401(k) Associates in 2009. Valerie has been at Actuarial Systems Corporation - ASC since 2012 and currently holds the title of Chief Actuary and Senior Actuary.

Valerie Lopez has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin, obtained between 1987 and 1991. Valerie also obtained a Distinguished Toastmaster from Toastmasters International in June 2009, an MSPA from ASPPA in June 2009, a Fellow, Society of Actuaries from the Society of Actuaries in October 2003, an Enrolled Actuary from the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries in February 1997, and a Member from the American Academy of Actuaries in 1995. Valerie graduated from Burleson High School prior to 1987.
