Pedro Quelhas

Pedro Quelhas is a Staff Software Engineer specializing in analytics at Acuity Spatial Genomics, Inc. since April 2023. Previously, Pedro worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from November 2015 to November 2022 and served as a Senior Computer Vision Researcher at Metaio GmbH, focusing on augmented reality and 3D reconstruction. Pedro has had academic roles, including an invited assistant professor at FEUP and an invited professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Research experience includes positions at INEB and NEC Laboratories America, Inc., with expertise in computer vision and machine learning. Pedro holds a PhD in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from EPFL, a Master's from King's College London, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Computer Science from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto.
