Thomas S. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Thomas started their career as an Information Analyst at the NHS in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Business Analyst at Cotswold Fayre Ltd.

From 2016 to 2018, Thomas worked at Landmark Information, where they held multiple roles. Thomas started as a Support Analyst, providing L1/L2 support for internal stakeholders. Thomas then became a DevOps Engineer, involved in a technology renovation project and creating CI pipelines for serverless applications. Later, they served as a DevOps Tech Lead, working on a modernization project with a tight delivery deadline.

In 2018, Thomas joined Intelex Technologies ULC as an Automation Engineer. Thomas developed and implemented an automation framework for the SaaS Technology and Operations team. Thomas also advised on best practices for migrating monolithic applications to distributed microservices.

Currently, Thomas is at illumin (AcuityAds Inc.) since 2020. Thomas started as a Manager, Operations, leading the IT Operations & DevOps journey. Recently, they have taken on the role of Director, Infrastructure, Operations & Security.

Throughout their career, Thomas has showcased expertise in infrastructure, operations, security, automation, and DevOps, working on projects with high transaction volumes and tight deadlines.

Thomas S. began their education in 2008 at Farnborough College of Technology, where they pursued a BTEC in TV, Radio & Multimedia until 2010. Thomas then attended the University of Winchester from 2010 to 2013 and obtained a CertHE in Politics & Global Studies. In addition to their formal education, Thomas has obtained several certifications. Thomas received certifications from Microsoft as an Azure Administrator Associate and an Azure DevOps Engineer Expert in May 2020. Thomas also has certifications from the World Education Services for Verified International Academic Qualifications, PADI for Open Water Diver, AXELOS Global Best Practice for ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and the British Council for IELTS. Furthermore, Thomas holds qualifications as a Certified Kubernetes Administrator and a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from The Linux Foundation, both achieved in April 2020.
