Damith Gunarathna

Damith Gunarathna has extensive experience in quality assurance and software testing. Damith started as an Associate Software Quality Engineer at Pearson in 2015 and later became a Senior Software Quality Engineer at CAMMS in 2018. Damith then worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at the London Stock Exchange Group, focusing on capital markets. In 2022, Damith held Lead QA Engineer positions at IFS and Acumatica, where they led automation efforts and ensured the reliability of distribution modules. Throughout their career, they have consistently improved testing efficiency and effectiveness, collaborated with cross-functional teams, and deployed ETL packages while promoting quality engineering and DevOps culture.

Damith Gunarathna completed their Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) from the University of Colombo School of Computing in 2015. Damith then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management at the University of Bedfordshire from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they are studying for a Master of Science in Information Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University, expected to complete in 2024. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including AWS Essential Training for Developers, Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Oracle Certified Professional for Java EE 5, and Oracle Certified Professional for Java SE 6.
