Octavio Álvarez

Octavio Álvarez has extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles.

In 1993, they started working as a Professor of Spanish and Computers at Colegio San Lorenzo, where they stayed until 1995. From there, they moved to Colegio Almenar del Maipo, working as a Computer Professor from 1996 to 1997.

In 1997, Octavio joined Telefónica as a WebMaster, a role they held until 1999. During this time, they also worked at ORT America from 1994 to 1999 as a Relator, Instructor, Professor, and Advisor.

In 1999, Octavio joined Terra Networks Chile S.A., where they held multiple roles. Octavio served as the Head of Commercial Media Operations, Traffick Manager, Head of Portal Programming, and Product Manager until 2009.

After leaving Terra Networks, Octavio worked at El Mercurio S.A.P. as the Chief Online Operations Officer from 2009 to 2014. Octavio then joined Metro International as the Head of Digital Operations LATAM - OneMetro and remained there until 2018.

In 2018, Octavio became a Co-Founder and COO at Ad Operations Latam. Currently, they work as the Manager of Operations at Unlimited Languages, responsible for the digital operations, maintenance, and coordination of product development for various divisions within the company.

Octavio Álvarez attended Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in Profesor de Castellano with a field of study in Literatura-Lingüística. Octavio later pursued further education at Universidad del Pacífico (CL) from 2012 to 2014, earning a Magíster en Gestión de Comunidades Digitales (e). The field of study for this degree is not specified.
