Steven Remenapp has a diverse work experience in various companies. In their most recent role as a Frontend Engineer at AdAdapted, they worked with React, Typescript, Sass, GraphQL, Jest, and React Testing Library to develop maintainable and tested frontend components for internal and external applications. Steven was also responsible for a feature called "target estimate" in AdAdapted Direct, which validated an ad's audience based on user inputs.
Prior to that, Steven worked as a Frontend Developer at Modern Software where they developed a two-sided marketplace web app using Vue and Vuex. Steven collaborated with a backend developer, architect, designer, and client to create design documents and meet deliverable deadlines.
Steven also gained experience as a Software Development Intern at Quicken Loans where they worked with Angular and C# to improve the engineer experience by visualizing frequently needed data. Steven also contributed to an Angular frontend project during the company's "Hack Week."
Before transitioning to the tech industry, Steven worked in various libraries in Metro Detroit where they held roles as a Circulation Clerk, Library Assistant, and Librarian. Steven worked in different types of libraries and completed three web projects to address library-specific issues. Additionally, they learned skills in laser cutting, 3D printing, and makerspace policymaking, and opened a makerspace within a 10-week timeframe.
Steven Remenapp completed their education in a chronological order. Steven first attended Wayne State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature in 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree with a focus on Information Management at Wayne State University. Steven completed this degree in 2016. Most recently, from 2018 to 2020, Steven attended Shift_Up, where they studied Web Development.
