Daniel Ferreira Zoppis

Daniel Ferreira Zoppis has worked in the Information Technology field since 1997. In that time, they have held a variety of roles in various companies. From 1997 to 1999, they worked as a Senior Consultant and Team Leader at Soluziona Consulting, Unión Fenosa Group. During this time, they developed management and analysis systems for the utilities industry in Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia (energy & water). Daniel also designed and implemented transformation processes for large volumes of financial and operational data. From 1999 to 2003, they worked as a Senior Datawarehouse Consultant and Team Leader at Crédit Agricole CIB, where they designed and implemented loading processes and analytical models for the Finance and Commercial areas. Daniel also automated Data Quality processes (audit and cleaning). In 2003, they worked as a Senior Datawarehouse Consultant at Oficina de Planeamiento y Presupuesto (OPP) - Presidencia de la República Oriental del Uruguay. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as an Engineer - Senior Business Intelligence Consultant at Tilsor, where they designed and implemented BI and DWH solutions. Daniel also presented at events of first-line technologies (JIAP Conference) and was involved in pre-sale activities such as survey, diagnosis, and design of the solution, and preparation of project plans (deliverables, activities, effort, and calendar). From 2007 to 2009, they worked as an Engineer - Senior Business Intelligence Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services, where they were the Business Intelligence Technical Leader in Latam telco projects for Telefónica Colombia, Telmex (Colombia), and ETB (Colombia). Daniel was also the Technical Leader of the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence and was involved in the elaboration of Business Intelligence proposals for Latin America. From 2007 to 2019, they worked as a Postgraduate Teacher of Datawarehousing systems at Universitario Autónomo del Sur, where they taught students of the Systems Degree and postgraduate students. Daniel provided theoretical-practical training in analysis and design of Business Intelligence solutions, risks in Business Intelligence projects, data quality management, and metadata. Daniel also taught the life cycle of solutions, evaluation and roadmap of commercial and open source tools. Finally, from 2019 to the present, they have been working as a Co-Founder & Director at Adagio Tech, where they provide Pentaho consulting and PDI specialists to help with Pentaho data integration and analytics solutions. Daniel works with internal IT, business intelligence, and data analytics teams as well as consulting firms and system integrators who need additional resources. Staffing agencies also come to him for short and longer-term contract assignments.

Daniel Ferreira Zoppis received their Computer Engineer degree from the Universidad de la República in 2005, after studying there from 1992.
