Farhad Mighani

VP of Engineering at Adapt

Farhad Mighani has over 30 years of experience in the engineering and technology industry. Farhad began their career in 1988 as a Senior Technical Staff at Chips and Technologies, where they developed 486 CPU architecture performance models and designed an MCA bus master for distributed processing. Farhad then moved to Intel Corporation in 1992, where they were a Project Manager and was responsible for defining, modeling, and implementing a state-of-the-art multi-media communication chipset and system. In 1997, they co-founded Synthcom and helped define its wired-wireless xDSL Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and Network Equipment products. In 1999, they joined Caly Networks as Director of VLSI and Acting VP, where they were responsible for Caly's ICs and developing a LMDS broadband wireless based Access Network and 3G/4G Backhaul. In 2002, they joined Zytera Systems as VP of Engineering and developed a SOC consolidating Storage, Servers, and Networking for enterprise networks. In 2005, they moved to W&W Communications as VP of Engineering and successfully exited. In 2008, they joined Cavium Inc as Head of R&D and Senior Director, where they managed a multi-disciplinary global team and successfully defined, developed, and transferred to MP multiple low cost low power high performance SoCs and cost effective production ready systems. In 2012, they became a Consultant for ESI Consulting-Advisor. Farhad currently serves as VP of Engineering for Adapt-IP, where they are working on Industrial IoT and IEEE 802. 11ah known as WiFi Halow.

Farhad Mighani attended The University of Kansas from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Farhad also obtained a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Kansas. Additionally, they have a certification in Management.
