Joe Cunningham

Joe Cunningham is the founder of adaptev Limited, a boutique research, advisory, and seed-investing business established in 2012. Previously, Joe served as SVP and Head of Risk for Visa in Asia Pacific from 2008 to 2024, overseeing security and the integrity of the payments ecosystem. Joe also held the position of VP of Technology Strategy & Innovation at Visa, where responsibilities included defining the company's global technology strategy and leading VisaLabs. Prior experience includes serving as CIO and Head of Technology for various business units at ANZ from 2000 to 2008 and working as a Management Consultant at Accenture from 1994 to 2000. Joe holds an MBA in Innovation Strategy from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Applied Mathematics & Computing from the University of Limerick.
