Walter Voit began their work experience in 2002 as a Summer Intern at Los Alamos National Labs. Walter later worked as a Summer Intern at Zyvex Corporation in 2004 and in 2005. In 2006, they became a Presidential Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology until 2009. Walter then worked as an Intern at MedShape Solutions in 2007. Walter served as a Software Intern at Zyvex Corporation from 2004 to 2006. In 2007, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Syzygy Memory Plastics and held that position until 2017. In 2010, Walter started working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas and later became an Associate Professor in 2017. Walter founded Adaptive 3D Technologies, LLC in 2015 and currently serves as the Founder and CEO. Additionally, they served as the President of CIRMS from 2015 to 2016, where they were involved in strategic planning and standards development related to ionizing radiation measurements.
Walter Voit began their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2005. Walter then pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the same institution, completing it in 2006. Following this, Walter attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained their PhD in Materials Science and Engineering.
During their academic pursuits, Walter also had the opportunity to study at the University of Cologne in 2004, where they undertook a summer semester in the field of Mathematics and Science.
After completing their education, Walter returned to The University of Texas at Dallas and became a Tenured Faculty Member in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, where they have been engaged since 2017.
