Anand Lakshman has held various roles in the health industry since 2002. Anand began their career as an RNTCP Medical Consultant at the World Health Organization in 2002. In 2005, they joined the Micronutrient Initiative as Coordinator, Planning & Knowledge Management, Asia. In this role, they maintained an up-to-date and relevant technical “watching brief” on micronutrient issues, coordinated the planning process within MI Asia, worked on developing organizational strategic plans, developed and supported the implementation of cost-effective program monitoring systems, coordinated the documentation of MI’s programmatic experience, and supported country teams in developing project plans and budgets. In 2010, they founded and became the CEO of AddressHealth Solutions India Pvt Ltd., a leading school health company with foundations in public health and pediatrics. In this role, they offered School Medical rooms, Annual Health Checks, Health Education Curriculum in hybrid mode and Mental wellbeing programs for schools.
Anand Lakshman has an educational background that spans from 1984 to 2001. Anand attended Kendriya Vidyalaya from 1984 to 1992. Anand then went on to Mysore Medical College from 1992 to 1998, where they earned a M.B.B.S degree in Medicine. Finally, they attended the Tata Institute of Social Sciences from 1999 to 2001, where they earned a MHA (Health) in Public Health Management.
