Xinyan (Cindy) Zhao

Xinyan (Cindy) Zhao has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Xinyan (Cindy) most recently worked at Adept Therapeutics Inc. as the President & CEO starting in October 2019. Prior to that, they served as the VP of Simcere BioPharma at Simcere Pharmaceutical Group from January 2017 to June 2019.

Before joining Simcere, Zhao held the position of Head of Antibody Discovery at EMD Serono, Inc. from October 2010 to January 2017. Xinyan (Cindy) also worked at Morphotek, Inc. as the Group Leader, Antibody Discovery from December 2006 to September 2010.

In the earlier stages of their career, Zhao was a Research Associate in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania from February 2003 to November 2006. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at Yale University from February 2001 to January 2003.
