Jerry Jacobs

Jerry Jacobs has a strong background in firmware development and embedded software engineering. Jerry is currently working as a Development Engineer Firmware kern-level at Adimec Advanced Image Systems bv, where they design, implements, and tests low-level microcontroller firmware. Their responsibilities also include improving automated firmware camera testing and designing a GeniCAM interface tool.

Prior to this, Jerry worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Heliox, where they were responsible for software design and implementation of charging systems compliant with ISO-15118 and DIN-70121 standards. Jerry worked on embedded Linux, C/Modern C++, CAN-bus, Ethernet, and TCP/IP technologies.

Jerry also has experience as an IoT Cloud Architect at Dual Inventive, where they were responsible for the Southbound interface of the MTinfo 3000 IoT Cloud architecture. Jerry designed and implemented firmware and protocols for devices and worked on RealTime OS and Cortex-M microcontrollers.

Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Prodrive Technologies, focusing on the RapidIO interconnect on Embedded Linux and creating Userspace Libraries. Jerry also contributed to open source projects.

Earlier in their career, Jerry worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Artron B.V., specializing in firmware design for microcontrollers and creating interactive LED play panels. Jerry also worked as a Technical Lab Assistant at Elektor International Media.

Jerry Jacobs obtained their Bachelor degree in Embedded Systems Engineering from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) from 2010 to 2013. Before that, from 2006 to 2010, they attended ROC Leeuwenborgh and earned a degree in MBO Middenkader Telecommunications ICT Engineer. In addition to their formal education, Jerry also obtained various certifications, including a 1-day training in Assertiveness from Tijdwinst.com in September 2021, the NEN 3140+A2:2018: Operation of electrical installations certification from ERCD in November 2019, and the LinkedIn Basic+ certification from Next Business Academy B.V. - European LinkedIn Training and Service in October 2019.
