Samvel Gevorgyan's work experience includes roles such as Head of Information Systems Security Department at adjarabet.am, Cybersecurity consultant at Tegus, Cybersecurity expert at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Founder and Managing Director of CYBER GATES, Member of The Supervision Board at Montibus Group, ICT Expert for Electoral Support Project at UNDP in Armenia, Chief Information Officer (CIO) Advisor and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at CJSC VTB Bank (Armenia), Lead Information Security Specialist at Beeline Armenia, Firefox Developer at Best Soft CJSC, and Web Developer & Security Analyst at X-TECH Creative Studio. Throughout their career, Samvel has conducted security risk assessments, developed security strategies and master plans, designed customized security solutions, managed security-related projects, and provided cybersecurity expertise and advice to various organizations. Samvel has also demonstrated leadership skills and successfully implemented security measures to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Samvel Gevorgyan completed their postgraduate degree in Information Systems & Cyber Security at C-DAC ACTS, Pune in 2010-2011. Samvel also holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the State Engineering University of Armenia, which they earned between 2003 and 2007. Samvel has obtained several additional certifications, including "Ransomeware: Identify, Protect, Detect, Recover" from (ISC)² in 2021, "CompTIA A+ Certified" from CompTIA in 2013, "Strategic Management of Information Technology" from Aeglesight in 2013, "IBM SiteProtector Centralized System Management" from Учебный центр "Информзащита" (Security Training Center Informzaschita) in 2012, and "IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software" from Cisco in 2012.
