Lisa JK serves as the Creator and CEO of the Regenerative Fashion Collaborative Exchange (ReFaCE) since April 2022, a tech-led social enterprise tackling the fashion industry's adverse effects on climate and biodiversity in Africa. As the Founder of Swahili Coast Culture, established in January 2014, Lisa focuses on the conservation and sustainable advancement of Swahili culture. Additionally, Lisa founded Baossence in January 2018, a social enterprise dedicated to baobab-based wellness products and the economic upliftment of local communities. Lisa has also held positions including Board Member for Culture & Heritage at the Kenya Coast Tourist Association and Experiential Officer for Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani. The community-based organization Mombasa Maridadi, founded in May 2018, aimed at beautifying Mombasa County. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
