Jill Jacobs currently serves as the Executive Director of the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities, a position held since April 2024, where the focus is on advancing the independence and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. Previously, Jill Jacobs was appointed as the Commissioner of the Administration on Disabilities at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from February 2022 to April 2024, and held the role of Executive Director at the ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia from October 2020 to February 2022. Additional experience includes working as a Health Operations Senior at Booz Allen Hamilton, serving as a humanitarian volunteer aid worker for various non-profit organizations, and leading Ability Unleashed as President & CEO from 2000 to 2017. Jill Jacobs began a career in development and public relations at United Cerebral Palsy of Washington & Northern Virginia and contributed to the FDR in a Wheelchair campaign at the National Organization on Disability. Academic credentials include a BSSW in Social Work from Texas A&M University–Central Texas and a CDFR in Child Development from the University of Arizona.
