David A. Ramsey, Ph.D

David A. Ramsey, Ph.D has over thirty-five years of experience in the engineering and telecommunications fields. In 2018, they began a Lecturer Appointment in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NC State College of Engineering and a Lecturer in the NCSU/UNCA Mechatronics Program at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. In 2015, they started at ADORAtherapy as the Director of Manufacturing and at AB Tech College as an Adjunct Professor. David's career began in 1985 at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise as a Lead Technical Manager, where they were responsible for researching, developing, and manufacturing fiber optic components for telecommunications hardware systems. Currently, they are Program Director for the Joint NCSU/UNCA Engineering Program.

David A. Ramsey, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1975. David A. then went on to receive their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1977. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Michigan in 1985.
