Luke Thomas has extensive experience in research and scientific roles. Luke started their career as a Research Associate at the University of Liverpool in 2004 and worked there until 2010. Luke then joined UCL as a Research Associate in 2011 and remained in that position until 2014. Following their time at UCL, Luke Thomas joined the University of Cambridge as a Research Associate in 2014 and conducted postdoctoral work investigating the relationship between mitochondrial function and hypoxia signaling in cancer. Their work also focused on the reciprocal interplay between metabolism, oxygen consumption, and tumor cell behaviors. In 2022, Luke Thomas joined Adrestia Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist.
Luke Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool, which they attended from 2000 to 2003. Luke then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oncology and Cancer Biology at the same university, completing their studies from 2003 to 2008.
