Maria (Lopez) Twena has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Maria most recently worked at Adsmovil as the Chief Marketing Officer, starting in October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the EVP, Brand & Marketing at Welcome Technologies from April 2021 to October 2021.

From 2019 to 2021, Maria was the Global Head of Consumer X at 9thWonder Agency. Before that, they held the position of President and CEO at Second Generation Soy from 2016 to 2019.

In 2015, Maria worked as the Chief Marketing Officer at Entravision Communications, where they were responsible for developing marketing and promotional campaigns across various media platforms. Maria also oversaw the Research and Market Intelligence Department.

From 2013 to 2015, Maria was the Chief Marketing Officer at Pulpo Media, a digital media start-up focused on the online Hispanic market. Maria (Lopez) Twena began their education in 1979, attending Loyola University New Orleans. Maria pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and successfully completed their studies in 1983.

After their undergraduate studies, Maria continued their education at the University of New Orleans. From 1983 to 1985, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications.
