Chais Sweat serves as the VP & Deputy General Counsel for ADT Solar since December 2021, leading the legal function for the solar energy division of ADT Inc. Previously, Chais Sweat held the position of Chief Legal Officer & EVP of Corporate Development at Sunpro Solar Energy Specialists from November 2019 until its acquisition by ADT Inc. Chais Sweat's legal expertise includes roles at Cara Stone, LLP as a Partner, focusing on corporate finance and consumer protection, and at The Middleberg Riddle Group as an attorney specializing in corporate finance and regulatory compliance within the solar energy sector. Early experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel and Compliance Director at PosiGen and a Senior Attorney at Dykema Gossett PLLC. Chais Sweat began a legal career as an attorney at Sweat & Associates, PLLC and gained foundational experience as a tax policy extern with the Louisiana Department of Revenue. Educational credentials include a J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law from LSU Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University.
