Tim Shearer

Tim Shearer has 17+ years of experience in software development and engineering, with expertise in areas such as virtualization, Linux kernel, networking protocols, and firmware development. Tim has worked in various roles, including Principal Engineer, Senior Embedded Linux Development Engineer, and Technical Project Manager, at companies like ADVA Optical Networking, Sensus, and Overture Networks. Tim has a strong background in developing software solutions for networking and communication systems, including NFV platforms, Ethernet aggregation/switching platforms, and real-time location systems. Tim is skilled in working with technologies such as OpenStack, DPDK, KVM, and containerization.

Tim Shearer attended HSDC Alton from 1993 to 1995, where they pursued A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Electronics. Tim then went on to study Mechatronics at the University of Hull from 1996 to 2000, earning an MEng degree. In November 2022, Tim obtained the certification of Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
